Mountain Green Trunk or Treat Information

Through the grapevine, I got some information about the Mountain Green Trunk or Treat. For those of you not familiar, it's something that many neighborhoods have adapted to doing on Halloween night, in place of going door to door. While part of this idea saddens me, because I have so many fun Halloween memories going trick or treating door to door, unfortunately not everyone lives in safe neighborhoods where you can trust the homes your kids are being invited into. So, they do what's called a "trunk or treat," where communities meet in a common place and park your car, and the kids go from car to car and get treats. Last year we took our daughter, and to 5 or 6 homes of close friends and family to actually "trick or treat." Some kids go trick or treating door to door after that, so it's good to have some candy on hand when that doorbell rings! I was sad that we only had a couple last year come by our place.

The Mountain Green Trunk or Treat will be Saturday, October 30th, at 5:00 pm. It will be held at the Kent Smith Memorial Park.  Hope to see you there, spookier than ever!
