Save BIG on Produce through Bountiful Baskets!

I'm sure at least most of you have heard of Bountiful Baskets. For those of you who haven't, I have gotten a bunch of information from their website and will break it down for you a bit.

About Bountiful Baskets Co-op
Bountiful Baskets is not a business. It is a group of people who work together for mutual benefit. It is constantly growing to reach new areas , and we have a pick-up site here in Mountain Green. They are completely volunteer-run and make no profit. This means there are no contracts, all volunteer and co-operative.

Reasons to Participate
  • This is a great deal and you are helping others get a great deal, too. With the conventional produce offering, you get approximately $50 worth of grocery store-quality produce.
  • It encourages a healthier lifestyle.
So basically, you get an account online at www.bountifulbaskets.org.  It is obviously free. Every week you can choose to buy a basket, which will be filled with fruits and vegetables. You don't know what you're going to get, but trust me--you definitely get more than you pay for. Each week they also give you different options of other things you can buy, like 9 grain bread, beans, fruits or veggies in large quantities, granola, fresh herbs, etc. Those are an additional cost, but it ends up being very inexpensive in comparison to buying it anywhere else. Plus it's fresh, homemade, and yummy. You can choose each week whether or not you want to get one. If you do, go online to their website on Monday evening at 8 pm (not positive, I know it changed). A lot of people just buy it on Tuesday morning. You have the option of upgrading to an organic basket. The first time you buy one there is an extra processing charge, fyi. Once you're paid in full, IT'S YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO PICK IT UP. It's always on Saturday Morning  at 9:00 am. at the storage units they have on 3990 W Old Highway Road. If you forget to pick it up, you don't get it. They will have your name on a list there, and you will get your items. You need to bring a basket or something to take your things home in. It's that easy! It's getting much more popular, so people come clear from over Trapper's Loop to buy them here. I suggest you get on it, because sometimes they go fast.

I hope I was able to answer some questions. It really has been a huge blessing for our family. If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment, or check out their site.
