This Family Home Evening is perfect for this time of year. These printables are SO cute too. No matter your age, everyone can work on gratitude.
The lesson says to base your opening thoughts on Alma 34:38 "That ye contend no more against the Holy Ghost, but that ye receive it, and take upon you the name of Christ; that ye humble yourselves even to the dust, and worship God, in whatsoever place ye may be in, in spirit and in truth; and that ye live in thanksgiving daily, for the many mercies and blessings which he doth bestow upon you."
After discussing the scripture, talk about gratitude briefly, but focus on ways we can specifically SHOW gratitude towards the Lord (as well as those around us). You can have the members of your family cut out and write ideas on their leaves and attach them to their trees. You can make each person a copy of the November Advent Calendar and challenge them to write down at least one thing each day thay are grateful for.
