Caramel Apple Bites

Enjoy a caramel apple with out the HUGE mess. These cute little bites are fun to make and fun to eat. Your kids will be begging for more! (so will your husbands)

3 Granny Smith apples washed and dried
melon ball tool
36 toothpicks
36 small fall cupcake liners
1 1/2 cups butterscotch chocolate chips (may use white chocolate chips)
3 tbsp. chopped M&M's
3 tbsp. chopped Rolo's candy
3 tbsp. chopped peanuts
3 tbsp. chopped white chocolate chips
parchment paper
(any desired candy will work)
Directions:
1. Use a melon ball tool to slice 12 round balls out of each apple. Insert tooth pick so that the green skin of the apple is on the top.
2. Melt butterscotch chips in the microwave in a plastic bowl for 2-3 minutes stirring every 30 seconds.
3. Place chopped M&M's, Rolo's, nuts and white chocolate on a plate.
4. Remove butterscotch chips from microwave. Dip apple bites by submerging the bite in the melted butterscotch then lpress into desired candy. Place on parchment paper. Work fast they set up quickly.
5. When bites are dry place in small cupcake liners and store in the fridge until serving.
